   In December 1996, Ruth Lee announced that she would no longer host weekly classes called "Gatherings" in her Pittsburgh home. She said her work was changing direction and required her to relocate to Florida. Understandably, many who attended these open meetings each week for years were dismayed and asked how they could continue to work with her after she left the area. Ruth prayed about it and announced at the last "Gathering" that everyone present was invited to work with her on a ground breaking project. She intended to scribe a book in their presence before moving away that could profit each of them, if they so desired.

 Thus began the creation of a book so different from any other. It is a compilation of the channeled lessons Ruth Lee scribed in early 1997 while sitting surrounded by eight or more ordinary people who did nothing but watch and participate when asked to do so. The 'jury' arrived week after week to witness the testimony and weigh the spiritual evidence given. You could feel a powerful energy sweep across the room and engulf everyone present.

   Ruth Lee maintained that to create a stable magnetic field that would attract wondrous beings identified simply enough as teachers from other planes and Saints who once taught on earth all present had to keep still as she typed rapidly and simultaneously read aloud that text. It was an experience that no one present can refute or deny. Later some of those present met and studied the lessons together and then others published these sessions so that the world could study them, too.
   Those past students call their present venture Lee Way Publishers. They are not affiliated with Ruth Lee, Scribe, or LeeWay Publishing, rather a separate entity dedicated to publishing this work. Ruth Lee is not a beneficiary to any profits that may be realized from their publishing "Can You Pray?". Her work with this group ended when she gave the manuscript to all of them to pursue its publication.
