to Overview
As the younger of two
daughters in an average working-class family living in Mid-America
in the 70's, Maggie and her sister were raised in a family that
embraced her grandparents' generation, and she spent much time with
them. Her memories of those times are filled with hard work, trials
at school, and fun times with everyone. When she was age 14, her
grandfather died and left her devastated from grief that she converted
into an even tighter bond with her grandmother.
Early on she sought out
information on spirituality rather than organized religious teachings.
Maggie was most impressed by a woman who introduced her to meditation
and spiritualism through a six-week course covering topics that
affirmed her belief in reincarnation, angels, and dreams. This remains
the basis of her works in faith and she still feels a bond of spiritual
kinship to that woman.
When Maggie turned 16,
she met a man whom she would marry five years later, but during
that time fate placed her in the path of yet another woman who would
love and mentor her. This woman showed her a world that she might
otherwise never have entered. She was taught how to run this woman's
business and was entrusted with every aspect of it. Such commitment
led to her becoming a prosperous and independent woman at a very
early age. That friendship continues to flourish and benefit both
parties and contributed to her decision to join her boss, Kathy
Safchick, in this work.
At age 21, married, with
a good career and a comfortable life style, Maggie met yet another
woman whom she told others, "Changed my life forever... Ruth
Lee introduced me to my Spirit Guides! Using prayer and meditation
even more than before, my thoughts and beliefs created a new and
better way of life for me."
By age 24, Maggie was
ready to sit for hours and watch Ruth Lee scribe this book without
worrying about what other people might think of her--or what it
might mean in terms of personal change and challenge. She sat and
prayed and meditated and listened with the other members of this
group to what was taught by masters from other planes. She knew
nothing about other group members, but was confident of the final
outcome because she trusted Kathy and Ruth Lee. Her life took her
away from the group more quickly than she expected, but she never
gave up believing that this book would help others one day, too.
When the manuscript was
issued in a first draft for the group to edit and live by, Maggie
said then, "It's great to know that this was all guided in
my direction. Life has been good to me. I thank GOD every day."
Years have passed since Maggie was interviewed about publishing
a book written in Spirit, and many changes have come about over
that time, but she knows the way to live and how to get back on
track if she should ever lip.
Today Maggie is married to a man who did
not exist in her mind when this book was scribed. She received a
baby boy from the hand of God, Scott Alexander and places his care
foremost in her life at this time. Her career is on hold, but she
remains closely associated with her mentor, Kathy Safchick. Maggie's
world is how she wants it now but changes are underway to improve
her life soon.
