Can You Pray?

The Group: Jack

Back to Overview

Note: Each person who originally joined this group to enable Ruth Lee to reach a higher capacity than she had ever reached before while channeling those from other spiritual dimensions comes from a different background, and their initial meetings with her were even more diverse. Such is certainly the case with Jack.

Jack arranged a meeting with Ruth Lee for he and his wife to discuss grief issues that lingered within each of them since the traumatic passing of his teenage stepdaughter several years earlier. Struggling with their pain as a couple, they decided to risk being disappointed again by what they might be told and visited Ruth Lee whom they had heard described as a trance medium. Both wanted a joint session, but Ruth preferred to work separately with each of them. When their sessions were over and they went home to discuss all that had transpired, Jack and his wife decided to equitably part their lives for the good of both. Jack often laughs and says that visiting Ruth can result in instant divorce, but it was not quite that easy. Today, Jack and his ex-wife enjoy different lifestyles and philosophies--but remain friends. Neither has remarried, but both are socially active and appreciate life as they find it.

Once Jack was able to settle down in a new way of life, he sought out others of like mind and often joined with the group that gathered in Ruth Lee's home on Tuesday evenings. He may not have always sensed what was meant, but he enjoyed these hours of good fellowship and exploration of self. Today he continues to spend time each week with friends of Ruth Lee talking about spiritual matters and the impact of the book , "Can You Pray?", on his life and career.

For years Jack has worked for a major airline in a high-stress capacity recognized perhaps only by those who are also responsible for the lives of millions of passengers. He dreams of retiring someday to a home in Florida near a golf course so he can play every day and continue to enjoy his Harley. His personality might best be described by analyzing a description he created for this book years ago.

"English was one of my worst subjects in school, as were the others, come to think of it, so when we were asked to help edit this book, my jaw hit the floor. A paragraph in Chapter Nine was, like the rest, causing me concern. I crossed out a word I thought was a typo-'enmity'. I brought it to Ruth's attention during one of our group meetings and she asked me to find it in the manuscript to show her. It is quite a large book, but when I flipped it open, it fell to the exact page I needed. After reading the paragraph, Ruth explained that this was a real word containing the deeper meaning of enemy and should be left as is. I knew then that I was being watched and the work was being watched over and that every word in this beautiful manuscript was important and should not be overlooked.

"The years working with this group have been a great experience for me, and I have learned much about myself. This book has helped me break out of my cocoon, and I am looking forward to flying as high as I can. I hope it works the same for you."
