Prayer in Time of Sorrow

Loving God, listen to my prayers, comfort me in times of sorrow, and give me strength as I mourn the passing of my beloved deceased. (Here mention your departed loved ones by name)

Through the caring intercession of St. Anthony of Padua, help me to trust in Your divine goodness, that my departed loved ones rest with You now in the eternal home You prepared for us from the beginning of time.

O blessed St. Anthony, Almighty God made you a powerful advocate in all necessities.  You are the comforter of the sorrowful, healer of the sick, refuge of sinners and the hope of the dead.

Pray for me, St. Anthony, that one day I may be joyfully reunited with all my deceased loved ones in heaven.  Amen.
