Daily Thought for September

Concrete beliefs are not easy to make and keep, so what do you think about this, found on Page 242 of Angel of The Maya?

"What's wrong? Are you in trouble?" Therese bent over the woman sitting in the rocking chair and said nothing else for almost an hour. Her long, long hair did not touch the chair as it flowed outward from her shoulders and created a ten under which the three of them could pray together and keep their energy between them better. Couples and groups passed by outside Wanda's office chatting about what they had eaten or what they would do later as the room darkened and the energy dimmed within the teepee created by the three women praying then.

As if she had been waiting for a sign, Maria leaped to her feet and announced, "I'm free! I'm able to be me! I feel so great! I know I'll never use pot--nor let anyone's hands offend me again! I'm wonderful! I'm a new person!" As she jumped up and down, Therese smiled gently at her mother of this time and thought about nothing else, or so it might appear.

Flying Like the Angel of The Maya

Today i was viewing an art show of thankas and other pieces of art from Tibet being shown in some museums in America and introduced by several monks in attendance... There are many scenes of lamas and saints flying about, but it is generally passed off as not at all about flying or levitating...just a depiction of a state of bliss.

Today as i glance about YouTube after viewing that clip i spotted this clip produced by National Geographic that made me stop and think twice... I even shared it on my Facebook page with friends who drop in there now and again... Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHwhGUo90jw&feature=related

Amazing that while writing Angel of The Maya i was stunned when Mandy's friends started flying and levitating and so on...they mentioned you had to incur a high degree of elation and laugh in a certain way to levitate successfully... This clip agrees with this philosophy, but not quite got it together as Mandy does--not quite yet... but World Peace could be achieved if we could learn to work together this way. Check it out!

Daily Thought for September

Today we turn to page 194 of Angel of The Maya and see what comes to us immediately and then wait for an hour before we write about it...

The elder hesitated, as if she doubted what she was about to say, then said with certainty: "We can all stop now! We have no doubts at all about who is spying and why, but I would like to talk to Miss Wanda about it, before I pass my jungment on to you."

The other elders stood up and circled about her, asking what she intended to do about those who would feel left out if everyone left the room without saying a word. She was not sure, so they convinced her to settle her mind and tell what she found inside time.

Page 193 of Angel of The Maya gives us the following to study and write about:

Hearing the unusual request, the head cook immediately surmised a mystery was afoot and she wanted to find out as soon as possible what part she could play, too. She smiled, waved, and shouted to the elders to go and help themselves at the buffet table and feel free to take their plates into the living room. The rest of her staff stared in amazement at her willingness to permit something normally forbidden, but they said nothing because it was not like Wanda or their boss to do something that crazy without a reason, because neither of them was a lot like Mandy yet.

LOL...have you been wondering where our archetype of modern women has been hiding??? Who is Mandy to you--anyone???

Today we will turn to page 192 for a lesson on time or whatever we find...

It turned into just another working day for Mayan maidens in other worlds--not the kind men enjoy. Speaking to the women closest to her, Wanda said, "If we see rainbows and skies full of rain tonight, we'll know more about the enemy who is trying to defy the odds and defeat our cause." She no longer thought it odd that she spoke Mayan to one group and Spanish to others almost simultaneously, but the younger women questioned how any human being could change her mind so easily--and do it constantly. Wanda became a legendary woman of wisdom to them then.

Once outside the weavers' studio, having made sure that the hasp and lock on the door were secure, Wanda turned to her friends as if nothing strange had happened to her or to them and said with crisp good humor, "Let's eat dinner in the living room--by the fireplace. Won't that be nice?"

What did this ignite---anything??? Try to write and see if you can take off now and write a paragraph or three without stopping to think about any of it until you are done...

Moving right along, today we choose two paragraphs from page 120 to work on intuitively and seriously...

Jeanne laughed and Julie chuckled, so those who watched them laughed, too, as if they knew what the two welathy American women talked about and why both of them willingly gave up so much to follow The Maya in time like they do. The tribe believed itself to be wealthy now because of the interest shown by rich Americans who came and went from this compound almost daily. Pointing to one of the men having trouble standing, Jeanne said, "Help the elder, please."

He immediately brushed away the helping hand extended toward him and straightened his spine. Silently looking Jeanne in the eye, he let her know he was able to lift himself without assistance. Thank you very much! She was taken back by his pride, then realized that she was just as stubborn as he was. Never quick to leave any scene, the old man lingered longer this evening than usual because he grieved his inability to dance and sing as he had when he was young.

Soooo, the plot thickens??? That's not your problem now...you are seeking wisdom and finding it or not...write and see what you believe....

Getting into shape now, or do you require a longer period of adjustment? If so, sit for a minute or two and then take a deep breath and begin reading within what is suggested on Page 64 of Angel of The Maya...

Without a word to either Mandy or the man she was talking to, Jorge continued his walk down the avenue. Strolling, as if digesting a heavy meal, without any thought of being intercepted or blocked, he relaxed and absorbed the atmosphere. The trees around him began to waver as he examined them, noticing that the leaves were not as they had been. The bougainvillea wept and the floral spray above a gate drooped and looked to be decayed. He wondered if he was in the presence of evil again. If so, where should he go to escapte it?

Hmmmm....what does that inspire within your mind now...explore it more and write what you like...

Our texts for the month will be selected at random from "Angel of The Maya" and highlight various metaphysical lessons provided there. It will be up to the student to figure them out and ask questions if help is required... The Page number will be posted and you can use the book if you have it...or not...

Pg 37: When the dyers demonstrated their deep purple shades, Mandy was sure the main perpetrator or traitor would do something strange right then, because he strained his lips into a grimace and spat on the floor near several women who were standing aloof from their group. They were unaware that he was near until he spat. One woman jumped at the splat and looked about her as if scared, while his face registered smug satisfaction at her reaction. His thoughts seemed to then dart into another line, but Mandy followed him easily since he was a man without a great mind and his spine was as crooked as a weak sapling often buffeted by strong winds. This elder did not yet understand that his stance was no longer one of pride and righteousness within the tribe, but that of a malcontent, thus a danger to everyone. The other men intently watched him now.

Now, what stand out most to you and why??? Write a few lines and then see what happens the rest of the day....

Chapter Fourteen begins on page 103 and we pick up a message there...

Looking back at Jorge as they walked toward the door, each was stunned to see Jorge apparently on fire. Was it anger? He had never before appeared to be a warrior! They believed he was not fiery enough or willing to war, so they had committed treason to the order and wanted to leave. Jorge was not a revolutionary, and they all wanted to fight and get on with the war--but not fight The Lord. As Jorge merged his mind with his soul in time, the elders aligned with others out of time. They stood and approached the departing group of malcontents while Jorge signaled his lieutenants to pat down each person as they passed and urge them to come back, but not actually saying that.

For anyone who wonders about what is behind this scene, don't wonder, just write what you see and what comes to you intuitively now....

Those of you who know and love Mandy and her friends will get a chuckle out of this, and those of you who have no idea may want to check it out to see what people are talking about. LOL

Hey Ruth!

I just finished Angel of the Maya last night, and what a surprise to me!!! I think you knew that the "J" in AJ stands for Jeanne, (had no idea!) and I used and still do sometimes go by Jeanne (my family calls me Jeanne)....and so I thought it was great that the scribe's name in Angel of the Maya is Jeanne (and of course I think you are the character!!!)....

But!!! When I got to the page where Jeanne is talking about how it is okay to be divorced from "Steve", BANG!!! My Ex-HUSAND's name is STEVE!!! I almost fell out of bed!!! I know both names are common, but still it was a great coincidence to me!!! LOL!!!

As I say over and over again, my art does not follow my life, rather the other way around. In Angel of The Maya there is much talk about the great ‘hot’ hot chocolate they use to induce euphoria and celebrations of life. Never had a recipe for it myself, but the other day the Food Editor of my local paper produced this one, along with a few comments worth noting, too…
