This blog post is from a doctor from my organization. Gives really good information on healing work in Haiti. Lynne
Dr. William Guyol, a physician at SSM St. Mary's Health Center, in Richmond Heights, Mo., and two other SSM caregivers left for Milot, Haiti on January 25 from St. Louis. Dr. Guyol has volunteered at Hopital Sacre Coeur in Milot for many years, and it is one of the few hospitals still operating there after the earthquake. Here is an excerpt from a message from Dr. Guyol on his first day in Milot.

Our friend, Rita, is a Reiki Master/Teacher and wrote the following several years ago and shared it on Facebook for all to read. Rita would enjoy reading your comments...
Based on Reiki Principles - Just for today:
Do not be angry
Do not worry
Be grateful
Work with integrity
Be kind to others and to yourself.
Every living person and thing is comprised of life force energy. All living things on this earth have some sort of energetic interchange. We can also interact with non-living things such as the stones and rocks on the earth, as well. When the body's energy vibration is off, is not balanced, then disease can occur on any level (mental, spiritual, physical, or emotional). When the energy centers become clogged, this then restricts the flow of life force energy in the body and can cause disease to occur.

What i would like everyone here to view as soon as you can is the last 'class' on "Rethinking Happiness." This is just about the best class on social psychology anyone could produce for the general public. I also recommend this particular 'class' because so many of you ask over and over about certain views i maintain and believe and why i think as i do. This will provide you with greater insight into what i believe and do... Rethinking Happiness: http://video.pbs.org/video/1376607096/

As you know, I survived ovarian cancer and have been given a new lease on life. I thank God I am able to continue to work for you and my clients as a spiritual scribe. Giving thanks for this reprieve, I seek to raise awareness to the most lethal women’s disease of them all, ovarian cancer.
If you missed Brian Williams news reports on ovarian cancer Tuesday night, try linking to the recording at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/#34715605 Sounds like they are making progress in finding better ways to detect this killer.

The Hippocrates Health Institute has been the preeminent leader in the field of natural and complementary health care and education since 1956.
Several years ago a friend of mine and I visited her parents who were staying at the Hippocrates Health Institute outside Palm Beach. It was a nice day to drive over there from my place on the West Coast of Florida, and we enjoyed our time together immensely. I did not know what to expect, but looked forward to visiting the facility and finding out for myself what they do there.
Wow! What a great place to get away from it all and create a better life style if you are ill or just not happy the way you live now. We were greeted by people who had been healed after following the program and were enthusiastic about sharing their stories. They were mostly volunteers, but the staff was highly credentialed and engaging as well and I was impressed by each of them.

Sent in by Cheryl…Thank God for the sense to remember the first three letters of stroke, STR. Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage whenever people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

Beginning to research ways to help me handle my diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer in a more holistic way than the drastic methods we had to resort to in order to get it under control and hold it at bay. I look at things differently from what you and your friends might look at such things. I let my mind be guided and ask that a search be conducted (unnoticed by me most of the time). My brain, acting as a computer, takes in data and screens it for certain things and then I pay attention and decide if what I find is interesting or even remotely able to benefit me.
Today I spotted a reference to partridgeberry tea being used to eliminate ‘morning sickness’—which may not actually be a great idea. Yes, I was reading another mystery or thriller that shares tribal ways and lore! I spotted this reference and my mind continues to work on it even now.

According to groundbreaking new research, reported on by S. L. Baker, feature writer Natural News (Nellie spotted this and sent it in for you to read, too…)
Ever since the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force took a look, finally, at the scientific evidence and announced new recommendations earlier this month for routine mammograms -- specifically that women under 50 should avoid them and women over 50 should only get them every other year -- the reactions from many women, doctors and the mainstream media have reached the point of near hysteria. Not getting annual mammograms, some say, means countless women will receive a virtual death sentence because their breast tumors won't be discovered. But what is rarely discussed about mammograms is this: the tests could actually be causing many cases of breast cancer.

Dr. Vinay Goyal, an MBBS,DRM,DNB (Intensivist and Thyroid specialist), having over 20 years clinical experience, has worked in institutions like Hinduja Hospital, Bombay Hospital, Saifee Hospital, Tata Memorial, etc.. Presently, he heads our Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre, Malad (W). The following message given by him makes a lot of sense and is important for all to use.
The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

Okay, so what you really want to know is if you are depressed on account of the economy or the economy is depressed on account of you not feeling so great. Got the message the other day when I put out the test on narcissistic personality. It has been discovered that on-line testing for depression is very, very helpful. In fact so helpful that October 8 was national on-line screening for depression day!

Whoa! That really caught my attention when scanning the news today. I love black licorice and always have, but now I find that it is a good thing my mother didn’t feel the same way. Check out the story behind the headline if you wish:
