Let’s Study The Tao te Ching

The class on The Tao te Ching started February 5, 2010 here on The Blog, so you want to start at the beginning, as a wise man once said.   Be sure to provide adequate time to each class and ignore any desire to skip ahead and view lessons before they are provided here. Let’s try to develop a ‘critical mass’ here on The Blog and talk about what we found interesting or not and what we think of The Tao te Ching. All you need do to study one of the world’s great religions here is watch a video or two every day.

Here is another segment of a lecture by Alan Watts on the principals of Tao Te Ching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZt6qcnJG2Y&NR=1
Followed by The Tao of Kung Fu  - "Chi always lasts." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IyS56_BeVA&feature=related

A subscriber wrote that she could not make a comment and discovered that she did not scroll down far enough on this page that pops up when you hit "comments' on the blog home page. This is a test to make sure that is the only problem. :) Yes, some have trouble with getting the letters in the image correct,m too. Keep trying when that happens.

Just watched these videos. Thanks for sharing. The Tao to me is like being in the zone - a real focused concentration and all fades around me. I've been in that space before where the goal, the performance doesn't matter and the concentrated focus is all there is. . .no thinking. . .being headless like Alan says. I would like to be in that space more and more and drop the anxious bit of my mind that Alan touches on, too. Isn't it like an art, getting into that headless space??
