Given Much Thought to Reiki Lately?

Here is an interesting thought, and it is something that I have thought about since my own Guides said years ago that the only problem with Reiki is that in America it is treated as if a MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) tool which is never allowed when healing with the Divine…obviously. Duh…

See what you think…comments will be interesting if anyone dares to enter into the conversation after what we had to say. :)

I’m a certified Reiki Master/Teacher in Sweden and now I have second thoughts...

With the life force, as it’s called, I can do many things... one of the things I can do is send healing at distance.

To be able to do that I had to be initiated with the life force and then go to classes to learn the rituals and how to do it.
Now, I’m thinking: Our inner power is so great, so why is it necessary to be initiated in the force? Well, in Reiki there is an explanation given that we have to activate the life force and that’s what happens in the initiation.

But, if we already had the force within when we were born, why does it have to be activated? It’s already activated. Why is a special ritual to be able to send healing at distance required?  We can do this on our own—in our mind, with our power, that we all have within us. Everybody can do this—without initiations.

We have the force and all that is required is a good intention, belief that it will work, telling God the intention and who the healing is meant for and/or where. Though I never tried it, I know this works. :-)

I think the Reiki rituals are meant to create better focus and to have an easy way to believe in the force...
What is then the life force? It’s pure love and light. :-)

Am I putting out my chin too far now? From my point of view, that doesn’t matter because it’s just my way of thinking on this issue... rather than what anyone else may think…they can think whatever they want to.  :-)

Sometimes there are so many thoughts popping up, that I just write them down, thinking maybe I’ll share them at some time. Isn’t that ridiculous to say? In the same time as that I know I have to write them down to get them out of my system... or is it maybe that I am just  making this up to make understanding life easier for me? Hmmm, that’s a thought I have to bubble with me about...

Love you, Helen

It is interesting to me that the topic of rituals is brought up this week. . .the good friendly dare helped too!!!

I sent a dream into the Dreamweaver last week that asked me to watch for rituals and rites during the week.

And here is one that is quite interesting in this conversation. . .

I've taken Reiki courses to level 2. At that time all of this was newer to me on the level of the mind and I felt drawn to it as part of my adventure and learning in energy. I agree with Helen that the pure divine energy is there and available to us all. As a coach who holds the intention to activate the energy that most wants to be activated in others, I can see the value
of learning the technique of Reiki from a Master Teacher.

Is it the energy we pay for? I agree with Helen, that is inherent in us all. I think it's the technique, the ritual, the activation, the teachings and most of all the TIME of the teacher that we pay for.

I'm not sure about the whole MLM and how that applies. . .so nothing to say on that now.
If we pay for a teacher's time, I can't see as of now how that falls into an MLM model??
Hmmm, that's all for now.

This is a very interesting conversation! Thank YOU for the offer. . .he he. . .the dare to join in!
And Thanks for your sharing your thoughts Helen. . .these are interesting thoughts to look through.

Since I already had my own healing energy by the time I ever heard of Reiki (and similar) healing, I didn't see the point in taking their initiations. But I've had plenty of exchanges with Reiki masters, and they always rate my energy as being at least at 4th level or higher, and I know from the people I've healed that the energyies are bona fide. But so often I get the "party line" from Reiki initiates that one can do valid healings only with 'official' initiations, and that then you must do healings only using the approved "hocus pocus." The result: I haven't made commercial use out of my gifts, but they remain clean this way. I mean no disrespect to Reiki practitioners who are doing ethical work - it's just that my inner guidance has steered me clear of "officially sanctioned" practices.

Love your comments, Helen. Oftentimes, the answer is so simple we dismiss it, but I think you're right on target. Keep that chin out!
