What a trial we have been through since my last (literally) newsletter went out several days ago. We've had letters about problems opting in or signing up to receive “Where in the World is Ruth Lee Now?” that have caused us to pause and regroup. We are thinking it over again to see what has to be done to keep in touch with all of you, especially those who could not sign up easily and speedily.
For me to send out large mailings, my address list must be converted to another form so I can prove you ‘asked’ to be included in my mailings. No cheaper, easier way for me was what we did, but it did not meet with approval from one or two…Wow! What abuse i took! They were angry that I would expect them to sign up again. Obviously, The Teachers lesson plan does not work on everyone. : )
This mailing was the last of its kind because “Where in the World is Ruth Lee Now?” is becoming an e-zine that contains easy, breezy kinds of things that anyone and everyone can read and understand. Very soon I will bring on line a newsletter, "E-Volve with Ruth Lee, Scribe" that covers esoteric material, shares life experiences and growth of those who work with The Scribe and The Teachers, and anything that doesn't fit the e-zine format. That means two mailings a month instead of daily mailings that took up hours every day without much feedback. Only when something ends do we hear that it was a valued part of your day… So let that me a lesson to some. : )
If you did not receive the last newsletter or had trouble opting in and want to continue to be on line and stay in touch with The Scribe…send me an e-mail at
Ruth@RuthLee-Scribe.com I will see to it that your name is added now.
Hi Ruth,
I went back and checked the Where in the World.....Newsletter and sure enough, I remember putting in my first name "Peg" and then my e-mail, which automatically came up and filled in that blank (my e-mail address was still in the e-mail space when I went back to check it out). I clicked submit and that was that. Now how easy is that. This is why I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how anyone could complain about that unless yours is the only site they ever look at or use and they are unfamiliar with the internet? Just wanted to reassure you.
Love, Peg
