Thank you Kathy for sharing this most amazing video with us! I have never, ever seen anything like it and I have worked around dressage folks quite a bit. Here is the news clip and site for you to tune in now:
Even if you don't ordinarily like horses, you will love this clip. You'll even forget she's a horse! This is truly amazing stuff.
This is a video of Andreas Helgstrand and his 9 year-old mare, Matinee, at the World Equestrian Games in Denmark. It is the Musical Freestyle Dressage competition, and Andreas and Matinee pretty much wiped the floor with everyone else.
In case you don't know, the sort of balance, coordination, control, and the ability to recall the step pattern of such a complicated routine that she exhibits here is extremely rare in such a large animal. Matinee is clearly having a blast! What a delightful performance!
Turn up the sound and watch this beautiful gray mare dance. She knows where the beat is, and she's a vision of grace and power. Don't miss her tail action with the music. ENJOY!

BTW: Years ago I met Kathy for the first time at the dressage competitions at Hartwood Acres outside of Pittsburgh. I was the ‘resident psychic’ for the ‘horsey set’ and so enjoyed every year setting up my tent and working with riders, grooms, and yes, the horses. Some were dubious at first that I could channel horses, but when my ‘clients’ won blue ribbons hands down, many turned into believers and sought out ‘readings’ with their horses and even their stable dogs, etc. It was truly a lark and something I enjoyed! Interesting to me, anyway, is that my allergies to horses never bothered me when working with them. : ) I suspected at times my father was around, because he talked to horses, too. While watching this video i was thrilled beyond what i would normally experience watching such a beautiful display of control and strength...and thought my Dad was right here watching over my shoulder, too. :)
I am so glad you enjoyed that dressage video. I, too, have a connection with horses, albeit Western quarter horses, mostly. My maternal Grandfather ran away from home in East Liverpool Ohio at the age of 16 to join the rodeo in Texas. He learned the blacksmith trade and later taught his two sons. My Mother was raised on a farm near South Park (Pittsburgh area) and that is where I visited my Grandparents when I was a child. There were always horses to enjoy. I have seen the Lippazaner stallions perform several times and truly admire the grace and beauty of these incredible animals. Hope everyone enjoys this amazing video.
