Following up on our recent request for Prayers...
Just wanted to let you know that we are home from our long journey and OK.
We were really blessed- good weather, well-behaved children, and beautiful times with family members. My mom was able to enjoy the holiday. Thanks so much for your prayers and the prayers of all on the blog. She was weak and tired from her pain medication but it was the most loving and heartfelt Christmas celebration we've ever had. It seemed like God designed it as the perfect Christmas. I will cherish those memories always.
My husband's dad got thru his cancer surgery well and was in good spirits.
My reading early in December told me I would notice many things during this holiday visit about life and love. I did. I noticed the beauty of "old love," the love that is shared by people who've been together for 40-50 years. I never paid much attention to it but was blessed to see it in both my parents and in-law's relationship. I have a new goal to create that kind of love with my husband in our golden years.
