Sharing Thoughts Among Us

Here is a letter i want to share with all here...enough said...just read until your heart's content.
Hey Ruth, one of the funny things Don Alejandro said (at the recent Mayan Event held in Pittsburgh) was that there are many books about the Maya, but he doesn’t think the authors ever met a Maya.  He said that someone took his picture once and it ended up on the cover of a book, but there was nothing inside the book about him. He apologized for people being in fear of the year 2012.  He said for us not to hold onto the year because when they were invaded over 500 years ago, their records were burned.
One thing I remembered that Flordemayo said then was that when she was called to be one of the 13 Grandmothers, she had a vision and there were other grandmothers holding a triangle prayer flag.

The writing on the prayer flag said, authority, power and protection.  She said she was being given the authority, the power and the protection to go ahead with the other Grandmothers to help spread the word to the world to help the children.

I liked what the Grandmothers said about the power of prayer.  I had a conversation with the attorney I work for about one of his clients asking for advice about whether to tell his wife that he was losing his job next month.  He asked me what his client should do and I told him that I believe in speaking the truth, but that this man would know his wife.  If his wife would not enjoy the holiday season because she was afraid, then maybe he should without it.  However, if his wife were to spend a lot of money on Christmas things, not knowing that her husband was going to lose his job, he needed to tell her now.
I printed off the Bible scripture from Ephesians about how a man is to treat his wife.  He shared with me later in the afternoon that the client said he would wait because he thought that God had other bigger problems to attend to.  He wrote the client back that you should not wait until you fall into the hole to ask for God’s help.  Hopefully, praying to God daily, will keep you out of the hole.
I told him that I have a friend who thought that she shouldn’t pray unless the problem was big.  I reminded him of the Bible scripture that says, “pray without ceasing.”  When we don’t pray daily, we miss out on the daily miracles and the awareness of how God is leading us to the correct paths, and the people we need to meet.
