Playing Loud Bass as Meditation?

Dear Ruth,
As I await the arrival of ''Angel of the Maya,'' I absorb a few last lesson from 'The Art of Life.'  It's starting to get a little worn, like my copy of 'Seth Speaks.'
Anyway, I was in traffic and a car next to me had its extremely loud bass on and it was drowning out my 'Sade' and made me a little irratated.  After noticing the driver was a differate race, I thought of my work in that area and went home and opened 'Art of Life' again.  Like many times before, it sent me to different sources.  The source this time was Eckhart Toole.  He talks of how we use loud music to quiet the mind or help stop the endless internal dialoge.  So I tested the theory and found it does work...and the more bass, the more numbing effect it has on the thought process.  So I guess that guy in traffic is actually trying to do the same thing I do when I go to my meditation room.  His method might be a little noisy, but it's probably the only exercise he knows that stops the chatter.
I haven't read the first chapter of 'Angel of The Maya' (on the web site) yet.  I had some loose ends to finish.  I think I'm going to listen to "Now is The Time' on tape, and then read ''Angel of The Maya'' and finish with ''World of Tomorrow.'
Peace on Earth, Joe
 PS-I loved the cab Joke
