Wisdom Begets Wisdom

Sometimes we get too busy to really delve into the essence of the Daily Lesson (as we used to called it years ago On The E with Ruth Lee) and do not readily apply it to our lives or refuse to believe it could be that wise or that necessary to meditate upon today...but here is one comment that will open your eyes as it did mine.  Take it to heart now and think about how many times you could think more deeply, muse a bit longer, and become stronger yourself and wiser by the moment.

This is what Kathy sent in today relative to the Thought for The Day on October 5, 2007:

"I thought about this message for quite a few days. I put on a disguise everyday.  In fact I help others do it, too. Makeup, hair color, straightening, curling. I am in the beauty business and it is all about illusion, smoke and mirrors, altering or enhancing. True beauty is that which resides within and when enough people come to realize they are just fine as they are, the camouflage will drop away.  We change who we are to appeal to others, win approval, make sales, etc. What's so hard about just being oneself? Well. I guess it comes from not feeling worthy as is." K

Since one of our number stumbled on this problem and acted upon it and added more wisdom so others who follow her path will be able to sense it is very important...maybe add a thought of their own...let's do something a bit different and ask those who created the message to add a bit and possibly give a blessing to those who are living it in this moment of time.

When one finds a branch and lifts it up so others following need not stop and remove it, too, it is a great boon to their passage.  How many times have you done that...lifted the branch, or do you let it slap the next person in the face instead?

Well. I'm prone to picking up the limb, so others won't get injured, and omit them from having to reach and pick it up. I'ts all about seeing, acting, and doing something that will have some effect on another person. Do you hold the door for someone that has their arms full of stuff? I'm sure you do. It's just pure kindness towards another. Like the limb, I immediately thought of all those abandoned grocery carts in the parking lot. Do you just leave yours near your car? Letting it roll into another car? Do you bring it to the cart round up? I shop therefore I appreciate using the vehicle the cart and usually bring it to the round up, but many areas don't have them, then I bring it back to the store front doors. I dfon't leave it for someone else to have to retrieve it and bring it back. Parking lots would be alot safer if people just returned them to the proper place.
