Ruth,
I wasn't going to send this E-mail, which I wrote a couple of weeks ago, because it deals with sensitive issues, yet these lesson have been so profound in my life that I thought I should at least send it to you to see if it is something that could help our E friends. Feel free to edit.
Joe
I did not edit Joe's letter...It is with grateful heart and mind that i accept his work here and now and share it with everyone who may find his or her way to this part of the universe and be ready to accept such work.
I'm almost done with my re-read of ''The Art of Life.'' It's taken me longer than I thought it would, but doing all the exercises correctly is well worth it. It has helped me understand my [hopefully] last major lesson which deals with some mild form of racism and my major strength, which connects to my love of animals. [By the way, I love the animal link on your blog]. Thanks to the Teachings, I have been able to ask for fun, easy lessons to help me ace my [hopefully] last major life lesson. Here are some examples of what the Teachers and God gave me:
The first day I prayed on the lesson was my daughter's first day at school, about three weeks ago. I rose early and did some meditation and prayer. I ask for a fun lesson. I arrived to pick up my daughter and she asked if we could take a friend of her mom's son, who happened to have a black father and white mother. Of course I said yes! We all t r y to help shuttle the kids, whether it be a sporting event or school or a movie. Anyway, over the last few weeks I have been driving Jillian and Cody [awesome kid] to school and it has given me a chance to see a different side of the coin. For example: We usually stop for breakfast or at least an OJ, and I found myself worrying that someone was judging Cody because of his race. At that moment I was his guardian and I would protect him. So now I'm protecting someone against exactly what I probably did early in life. Next example: That was Monday. Well, Tuesday night rolls around and I pick up one of my regulars in the Limo. He has his normal friends that he always hangs with, yet he tells me we are going to pick up someone new. A guy named Fred. When we first picked him up, you could tell a change in the Limo. He brought magic and laughter. I could tell he knew his true self and I realized he was more advanced than me, and he was a black man from one of the southern Islands. Wednesday rolls around. It was afternoon and I continued reading ''Art of Life.'' I'm a little amazed at this point. I wanted to write you on the progress, yet I was looking for another sign...like could this lesson really be so easy? So I go to my corner Publix for some groceries and I run into Fred. I dropped him off at home the night before, so I know he lives at least 10 miles away in a different city. We talked and joked about the night before and he mentioned that he was a teacher at a nearby college. If these two interesting people weren't enough, by week's end I was given a third lesson. At my full-time job I work with this black guy...he's about 300 lbs. and all muscle. I parked next to him Friday and noticed that he has a guitar in his front seat. When I see him I ask, 'Do you play guitar?' He does, so we've been playing some tunes together and, surprisingly, we have very similar taste in music.
I think, looking back, that I have never disliked people with different color skin, yet I attached a fear of disorder to a group of people...and these fun, easy lessons have and continue to help me realize that my internal fears where the root cause of the problem all along.
Please keep me posted on the release date of ''Angel of The Maya.'' Is it the Adventures of Mandy continued?
Thanks, Joe
Thank you, Joe! Your work has helped countless people learn how to better understand The Teachers work and how to work with the Books of Wisdom...like no one else has been able to do so far. You are blessed!
Mandy is definitely taking off again, but she is not the center of attention so much as the one who runs everything from somewhere far away and out of sight and just keeps popping up and changing the scenes and bringing in more props and such. Angel of The Maya is such a royal treat! It really is a joy to read and you will love it!!!
This time you get to meet a whole world of people who travel between two worlds...or is it all a dream...but they are well-known, stars, and take their art to Mayaland to work on their own spiritual lives as well as help out the Maya of this time. Big, big book...you really get your money's worth out of it...LOL But even though it is much bigger than any of the other works, you hate to lay it down and see it end.
Now, between you and me, Joe...the secret is that this is only the beginning of many, many further adventures in time, searching the universe for meaning in this life, and having a ball living vicariously the lives of famous artists and, of course, Mandy whenever she appears.
Look for Angel of The Maya in time for the holidays...we are working on her web site and setting up procedures to help the world get to know Mandy, too.
Joe, take care and know that your work here is growing and your wisdom is not questioned by others...because you are an honest man. How many others today can say the same thing...and be believed? You are definitely one in a billion!
